Where to find your save
Open SLOT01, SLOT02 or the folder for your chosen slot, then select SAVE.DAT. The Steam library path depends on where you installed the game.
<Steam library>\steamapps\common\Fallout 2\DATA\SAVEGAME- File
- SAVE.DAT inside the slot folder; keep the other files belonging to that slot
What you can edit
Central SAVE.DAT only. Slot sidecars and GCD character templates are outside this guide. Total conversions and modified layouts may expose fewer fields.
| Character progression | Change level, experience, available skill points, HP, karma and reputation. |

| Stats and skills | Edit exposed base and bonus stats, carry weight, skills, tagged skills, traits and recognized perks. |
| Inventory quantities | Change counts in existing recognized inventory stacks. Adding or removing stacks is not supported. |
Notes
- A slot consists of several files. Return the edited SAVE.DAT to the same slot and keep its matching sidecar files.
