Choose the desired .nwsav slot or Autosave.nwsav. Country, province and unit entries are inside the main saved state rather than only its preview.

What you can edit
NWOS schemas 12/14/37/51. Field availability follows the save; multiplayer effects and other layouts are outside this guide.
| Countries and economies | Edit treasury, taxes, budgets, stockpiles, research, government, stability and diplomatic values. |

| Provinces and forces | Change saved population, construction, unit counts, HP, morale and orders where present. |
| Campaign state | Edit date, difficulty, event/victory progress and other saved JSON values. Large saves open as editable JSON text. Keep technical IDs and references consistent; changing the format-version field is not a migration. |
