Where to find your save
PC
Locate the save folder containing save*.hg and mf_save*.hg. Keep the source and destination folders under separate names in the same ZIP, including their companion files.
Extracted PS4 saves
Use supported extracted folders containing savedataNN.hg and retain any companion manifests. Include both folders in one ZIP. A single save file is insufficient for a transfer.
- File
- One ZIP containing both complete save folders: save*.hg with mf_save*.hg companions, or supported extracted savedataNN.hg files with any required manifests.
What you can edit
Supported streamed .hg save folders only. Native Xbox/WGS and PS5 containers, legacy NOMANSKY/SaveWizard files and memory.dat are outside this guide. The selected autosave or restore point is updated; other snapshots are retained.
| Storage containers with items | Move whole item stacks from ordinary storage containers 0–9 into free unlocked slots in another save. Existing destination items are retained. Other inventories stay unchanged; storage stack-limit settings must match. |
|---|---|
| Multi-tools from the weapon rack | Move archived multi-tools into free archive slots, keeping their installed technology, seed, name, class and customisation. Only the weapon-rack archive is transferred, with up to 18 slots. Carried multi-tools and existing destination archive entries are retained. |
| Choose one or both categories | Select the source and destination saves, then use the storage and weapon-rack checkboxes. Preview the quantities that can move and the remaining capacity for each selected category. If everything does not fit, confirm a partial transfer. Remaining item stacks and multi-tools stay in the source. The operation uses each save's active Main or Expedition context. |
| Identify unnamed saves | Compare save names, file paths, active contexts and the file modification date and time recorded in the ZIP when choosing the source and destination. |
