Select the gameplay user.dat or data.dat from the slot you want to edit. A system/profile file can also be named user.dat; that separate layout is outside this guide.

What you can edit
Windows 1st Chapter remake gameplay layouts 5–7. This is separate from the original Trails in the Sky games. Party membership, equipment, story state, achievements and DLC flags are outside this guide.
| Mira and Sepith | Mira and all eight existing Sepith/resource values. Mira is limited to 9,999,999 and Sepith to 99,999. |
|---|---|
| Inventory quantities | Counts of existing inventory entries, using item names and stack limits where available. New items cannot be created. Unknown IDs remain numeric; equipment and item flags stay unchanged. |
| Character gauges | Three existing current gauges for each active character, shown as Current_0C, Current_14 and Current_1C. Each stays between zero and its saved maximum. Level, experience, maximum values and derived stats are retained. |
Notes
- Editing does not convert a full-game save for the demo, downgrade its version or bypass DLC requirements. Slot titles and preview images remain unchanged.
