Fitbit Login – How to join Fitbit

Before using your Fitbit device, you can create a new account by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Go to the official main site of Fitbit at www.fitbit.com
Step 2: Click on “Sign in” on the top right corner.
Step 3: If you have a Google or Facebook account, then just click on “Continue with Facebook” or “Continue with Google”. Otherwise, click on “Sign up”.
Step 4: Enter your email address and choose a password.
Step 5: Read the terms of service and privacy policy, then click on the box to agree.
Step 6: Click on “Join Fitbit” to complete the process.

How to set up a new Fitbit device

Once you have created your new Fitbit account, it is time to connect the device and start using it. Here are all that you need to do:

Step 1: Go to the official site to set up the Fitbit device at www.fitbit.com/setup
Step 2: Click on “Sign in” on the top right corner.
Step 3: Use the registered email and password to log in your new Fitbit account.
Step 4: On the dashboard, select the Fitbit device that you want to set up and click on “Set up”.
Step 5: Enter the code of your Fitbit device on the box, then click on “Start”.
Step 6: Wait for a couple of minutes for the data to transfer to sync or transfer to the Fitbit dashboard.
Step 7: Once the device has been set up successfully, it will show you a successful status. Now you can easily see your personal stats, set goals, log water and food, connect with your friends, or analyze all of the historical trends easily.

In addition to online setup, you can also download the free Fitbit app from Windows Store, App Store, or Google Play to set up your Fitbit device more easily

  1. I purchased 2 fitbit connect 3. When I tried to set it up I got a notice that I must have ios 13. I have an I phone 4 and it can only be updated to iOS 9.3.6. I do not intend to spend another $300- $500 just to use a $200 device.

      Fitbit can be used without a smartphone provided you have a computer with a USB port. Fitbits come with a “USB dongle” or small nub with a USB plug that plugs into your computer to sync the Fitbit.

  2. i have fitbit surge 2 and it worked fine until i updated my iphone 6 IOS. now my fitbit desnt charge or light up at all

I am trying to load my Fitbit versa watch. but all I get is Driver one trying to load. but after six 6 tries it would start over asking for my password and email name. so I deleted it. but now when I try to down load the Fitbit watch the driver one comes up and I cannot load the Fitbit versa watch. I was loading the application a week ago but as I was installing it required a blue drive which I found that it was not installed in my computer. I had to make arrangements to have it installed. however with Christmas holidays it was delayed till now. But now I cannot get back to the same place to carry on the installation.       If you have Windows 10, you will be able to sync your watch even if it is not plug to the cradle, just by having internet connecting and the Bluetooth on. Now, if you have Windows 7, you need to have Fitbit connect downloaded and a dongle.
      One thing you could try is to install fitbit connect, this would be the way to install the fitbit drivers.

  4. I have a hrfitbit and my wife has one. I have had them for a while. Both are out out of sink with time. I have tried to figure out how to reset the time but that is an exercise in futility. I do not have serial numbers or exact models so I think I have a pile of junk and got ripped off

  6. On my phone I downloaded setup for a fit bit Charge 3. That devise was too large for my wrist, so I deleted all information on that devise, and returned it to the store. I exchanged it for a fit bit inspire HR, and now when I try to set up my account, it tells me that my email address that I provided is already taken by another fit bit account. Can you please help me fix this?

      Our guess is that you are trying to create another account using the same email, instead of pairing the tracker to your already existing account.
      So when you install and log on to the Fitbit App, select “Existing User” instead of “New User”. Then once logged in to your account, click on the “Account” icon on the bottom and then add a new tracker. That might help.

  7. I received a Fitbit Versa2 watch for Christmas. I went to your website and was told I have 21 out of date drivers. However I am 90 yrs old and cannot afford to update 21 drivers. Am I able to use my watch without updating 21 drivers. How do I learn how to use this watch to check my heart rate, etc. without updating the drivers on my computer. If this watch is going to cost me a fortune which I cannot afford, it will be necessary for me to return
    my Christmas gift to my children. Why must my computer be updated in order for me to use the watch. I just want to learn how to use the watch. Please advise

  9. I am in the process of setting up my new Fitbit Charge 3. You must fill in your profile info .. Name (first, last)
    gender (pick a picture) and your BIRTHDAY … You cannot key in your birthdate .. you have to start at today’s date and click back .. day by day – year by year .. until you get to YOUR birthday. I was born in 1953 .. today is 2020 .. I had to click back 67 years .. day by day .. to fill in this information (MUST DO if you want to use your Fitbit) PLEASE CORRECT THIS!

  10. When I sync my fitbit it says “sync complete” but then takes me to an ad page where I cannot sign in to see dashboard. This is a change.

  11. On my fitbit versa I wish to have the display permanent while doing cardio. Is that possible?
    It is a nuisance having to keep pressing the button while working out and shaking the wrist does not work that well.

  12. I have inspire hr; worked great til my phone was updated . Now I lost my notifications. I talked with customer service and they told me they are working on it. After resetting my Fitbit it still won’t notify. Now it fails to sync my device immediately; it will eventually in an hour or two. Can you help me?

      Please try doing these steps:
      1, Make sure that your Fitbit App is up-to-date
      2, Log out of your Fitbit App
      3, Force quit the App
      4, Turn off the Bluetooth
      5, Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
      6, Restart your Charge 2 at least 3 times in a row
      7, Turn on the Bluetooth
      8, Log back into your Fitbit App
      9, Sync to test
